We have to start seeing religion for what it is - a failed science, a failed description of the world, a holdover of discourse by our ancestors, who had no basis to demand good evidence and good argument. ~ Author Sam Harris

Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty. ~ Thomas Jefferson

Every generation needs a new revolution. ~ Thomas Jefferson

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. ~ Benjamin Franklin

Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one. ~ Thomas Paine

That government is best which governs least. ~ Thomas Paine

The Vatican is a dagger in the heart of Italy. ~ Thomas Paine

The greatest remedy for anger is delay. ~ Thomas Paine

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. ~ Aldous Huxley

A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death. ~ Albert Einstein

PLEASE NOTE: Just because I am an atheist doesn't mean I want to debate online or discuss theology in real life. If you talk about your faith in your LJ, I don't care. If you try to directly goad me using comments I've made in your posts, I will remove you. I went through my halcyon days of being a Jesus freak and I don't care to debate something that isn't apart of my life. I speak about Atheism often and post topics about it. If you aren't an atheist, IGNORE THOSE POSTS. I refuse to censor them or filter because I don't see any Christians who have to do that and so I won't.

I've lived all over the US at some point. I was born in PA but moved outside Atlanta at age 5 so my formative years were there. I've had a rich and vast history already and my life experiences are numerous.

I have a dry sense of humor and it sometimes doesn't translate on LJ. I also can be very wicked and sarcastic when I wanna make a funny. If you don't like that kind of humor, we may not get along very well or I may accidently offend you. Either way, you're warned.

I hate labels. People try to categorize me as goth for as long as I remember. But, I am far from that. I have a sense of humor and don't stress over my clothes every second of the day. I've hung out with many goths though but then I've also hung out with many Drag Queens and I'm not one of them either. I just consider myself a Person In Black who wears colors sometimes. heh

I am me. I have my own interests and my own funky fresh style. I am now 32 and I have never felt more in tune with myself. I really think that is something that is a trait of being 30 and learning from your experiences and mistakes. When I turned 30, it was almost as if someone waved a wand over me to settle things. But young people hate to hear that, I remember. heh

I think a lot of a person's intelligence and personality can be shown in what they choose to have for their entertainment...aka reading, film, music. I am very picky about what I put in my ear hole, eye hole, and what comes out of my mouth hole. I am an art fag. I believe if you don't watch or put yourself with intelligent things...than your intelligence can wain. Yes, I can be a snob about it if a person doesn't have at least some things in common with me in that respect. I admit, most my "friends", do or else it is hard for me to become close to them because it is hard for me to relate on a sub-par intelligence/entertainment level than my own. Elitist bitch that I am. *grin*

Films mean a lot to me. I hate fast food Hollywood films. I am drawn to pieces that stick in your head after you see them. I adore movies that are entertaining first. But that also make one think and allow a person to question what reality is. In their own lives as well as within the films universe.

I take a lot of random pictures and may post them from time to time on my Livejournal.

Significant other, Severin aka controladdict. He is awesome. He is the other half of me. I would die for him.

I COLLECT: Cheesy Tourist Magnets...If you live somewhere away from me...and like me and wanna be cool to me... Get ahold of me and send me the tackiest cheesiest magnet you can find of your town ;)
